Biography
Christopher Kenny Samuel is a researcher at the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, University of Buckingham. He is also a Director at Moxie Defence, a defence and security consulting firm delivering intelligence-led solutions, strategic advisory services, and procurement support to government and institutional clients. In addition, he is a registered contractor to the Navy, the Police, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), and Defence Headquarters.
Mr Samuel is a Co-Founder and former Co-Director of TGS Security & Intelligence Consulting Ltd, and previously served as a Strategic Coordinator at Global Risk International. He is a certified Fellow of The UK Security Institute and possesses a strong intelligence and counter-insurgency background, with over 16 years of professional experience across intelligence, international organised crime, terrorism, and global security.
Throughout his career, he has provided high-end consultancy support to a wide range of public and private sector organisations. He is particularly noted for co-organising a series of Africa-focused, counter-insurgency, solutions-based conferences in collaboration with the University of East London, UK.
Academically, Mr Samuel holds three postgraduate degrees: in Intelligence and Security Studies from Brunel University; Terrorism Studies, International Organised Crime, and Global Security from Coventry University; and a BA in Law and Criminology from the University of East London. He successfully presented a high-quality thesis to the Department of Counter-Terrorism and Global Security Studies at Coventry University titled “Challenges to Nigeria’s National Unity and Cohesion: A Comparative Analysis of the Farmer–Herder Conflict and the Pro-Separatist Movement in South-East Nigeria.”
